I’ll be the first to admit, I have a certain set of stores I always go to when I need something for my daughter. All moms do. But it is nice to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while and try something new. And if you ask me, summer is the perfect time to do just that with your child’s wardrobe. You have three months to experiment with new brands so that when school starts again, your child won’t be wearing the same Old Navy tees as everyone else in the class.
Don’t know where to start? Here are 10 of our favorite lesser-known children’s brands making seriously cool kids’ clothes. Try them all and I promise you’ll be hooked.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t normally splurge on shoes for my daughter because she destroys them. She drags her feet, kicks walls, you name it. After just a few wears it looks like she’s walked around the world in her shoes.
The one exception to my skimping rule, however, is with toddler sandals. My pediatrician is constantly preaching about how important it is to keep developing little feet well-supported and that’s why I splurged on a pair of KEEN toddler sandals. Yes, they’re all over $30, but they’re so worth it.
They all have durable, non-slip soles, the straps keep your kid’s foot secure and most of the styles are even waterproof. If you’re looking for a pair of sandals for your little one to live in this summer, you can’t go wrong with KEEN. Check out their cute options this season:
