Wishing for a White Christmas? Here’s Google to the Rescue…

Wishing for a White Christmas?  Just type in “let it snow” in Google’s search box and hit return.  Within a few seconds, snowflakes will start to fall, and after a few more seconds your screen will get so frosty that you’ll have to hit a “defrost” button to see the text again.  OK, so it’s not as good as the real thing, but it’ll be a fun break from all that last-minute holiday shopping…er, work.

STILL No Halloween Costume? Get Inspired with These Pics from Toddlewood

It’s not that easy getting a 3 or 7-year old to sit still for a photograph, but photographer Tricia Messeroux makes it look effortless. And fun. In her Toddlewood photography project, Messeroux gives new meaning to toddlers in Hollywood.  Instead of Suri Cruise and Shilo Jolie-Pitt, she uses non-famous kids to recreate famous movie scenes, newsworthy events and celebrity images.

The result is a funny collection of images that make you say “Why didn’t I think of that!” Check out the pics, and make sure to scroll through the entire slideshow to see a Toddlewood version of that famous Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah’s couch incident. Hilarous!

Bing Deals for Schools: An Easy Way to Save Cash and Raise Money

I don’t book a flight until I check Bing’s Price Predictor, and it looks like I’m going to be checking in regularly with their new Bing Deals program. Basically a Groupon/Living Social type site, Bing Deals aggregates local deals, coupons and discounts from hundreds of different sources, making it easy for you to save some cash.

But here’s the secret sauce: it has a school fundraising component, so your school can cash in on a referral fee every time you treat yourself to a discounted spa package or dine at a participating local restaurant. So instead of supporting your school by buying candy bars or gift wrap you don’t need, you can shop for something you really want. Genius!
