Take Your Child On a Journey Around The Universe–Without Ever Leaving Home–With Baldo’s Awesome Adventures

Every parent knows just how important reading with your child is. Not only does it lead to early language and reading skills, but it also fosters creativity and imagination.

That being said, it’s easy for kids to get stuck in a reading rut. How many times has your kid asked you to read the same book, over and over, night after night? Want to switch things up? Allow us to recommend one of our news faves, Baldo’s Awesome Adventures.

First things first, the hand-painted illustrations are incredible. Your child is bound to be just as enamored with them as by the exciting story line. Speaking of which, this entertaining read follows Baldo the balloon as he travels into outerspace, around the world and into the arms of a loving friend. It’s a journey filled with excitement and adventure that will have your little one captivated until the very end.

It’s a perfect pick for little boys or girls and has a super sweet ending, which makes it great for before bed.

Kid Tired of Reading Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer? Switch Things Up With Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List

My daughter loves storytime, so to get her in the holiday spirit I started reading Christmas-y books right after Thanksgiving. Problem is, after just two weeks she’s already over the classics.

Luckily, I was given a review copy of Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List just in time. Now let me begin by saying that right after reading, my little girl’s one true love is Peppa Pig. If she can only watch one television show per day, it’s Peppa. If there’s one thing I can count on keeping her occupied during a long car trip, it’s Peppa. So unsurprisingly when I showed her the book she was thrilled.

Without giving too much away, Peppa and George help Santa and everyone is happy when Christmas day arrives. We’ve had the book for 5 days now and every night, my daughter requests to read it again.

So whether for your own child or as a gift for a little one in your life, Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List gets two big thumbs up from us.

Kid Got the Back-to-School Blues? Start the School Year With Bossy Baby Chronicles

My 4-year-old started Pre-K today and it was an experience. She was excited until we actually walked in the door and then she started to panic. I’m sure she’ll be fine, but to ease the transition I’m planning to invest in this sweet new book I found.

It’s actually a personalized children’s book that helps get little ones ready for preschool and I’m hoping it will pump my daughter up for the school year ahead. I’ll customize it with her name and a dedication and we’ll read it every night before bed until she isn’t so anxious.

Love the idea of a personalized children’s book? I’m a huge fan, too, which is why I just had to share Bossy Baby Chronicles. For now, they have three books you can personalize with your son or daughter’s name–a potty training book, a going to school book and a behaving book. Genius, right? Even better, all the books are just $25.

Resolve to Read More This Year–Start With a Personalized Book from I See Me

If there’s one thing every kid could benefit from more of, it’s reading. Doctors recommend reading to your kid at least 20 minutes each day, but we like to think of that as the absolute minimum. Reading to your kid now not only fosters a love for it later in life, but it also helps babies and toddlers develop early language skills.

So if all your kid got for the holidays were toys galore, there’s one more thing he/she needs to start the new year–a personalized book from I See Me. The company specializes in creating fun, playful books that make your kid the main character.
