You know the scariest thing about Halloween? Forget the crazy Halloween décor that some folks display in front of their homes. What really gives me the heebie-jeebies are these terrible, totally inappropriate Halloween costumes for kids. Sorry, but my daughter is never going to dress up as a Pretty Woman hooker (you hear that Toddlers and Tiaras mama?), and my son as a mass murderer is never going to be okay with me. Yeah, I’m square like that.

I have seven year old twin girls that I am making costumes for. My greatest consideration is that they remain modest and that the costumes lend themselves to being warm since we are in a Northern climate. They also have to be able to be worn to school. I cannot see our schools allowing something like this and what parent would allow it? Not Me for sure.

Wow… that’s all I have to say. These costumes are ridiculous! My son is two-years-old and he’s wearing skeleton pajamas for Halloween this year. They’re cute, they’re warm, and they’re useful after Halloween too. As for when he’s a little older and tells me what he wants to dress up as, I don’t think I’ll let him be a murderer until he’s like 8.

When my brother was five, my parents entered him in a Freddy Kruger look a like contest.

Wow …. I’m speechless! Cannot believe someone would dress their kid as a prostitute or a member of the Jersey Shore cast. My boy will be 19 mos for Halloween and I’ll probably dress him as a chicken or a little cute piggy.

This is just another example of parents not letting kids be KIDS. Why do we have to make them grownups so quickly? These costumes are taste-less and completely inappropriate for children.

I am not for sexualizing my children or promoting violence – on Halloween or ever.

Wrong… maybe, but the Jersey Shore pic is hilarious!

Problem isn’t the kids today….it is the PARENTS. (some anyways…not all) This is ridiculous. In about a decase or less they will be trying to figure out why their kid is already having sex. I fully judge anyone who does this. Normally I do not judge to much but this is different
Parents just let your kids be kids….stop having them dress like sluts and fuure alcoholics. AKA the Jersey Shore crew

I don’t see why you all are making this such a big deal. I have twin daughters that are 7 and I am allowing one to dress as Snooki and the other to dress as Kesha. I understand that both of these famous stars have influenced children negatively but my kids love them just becasue they are famous and lots of people like them. They don’t even understand what they are famous for, I mean, come on! It’s not bad parenting either, it’s just letting your kids dress up how they freaking want to for Halloween!! It seems to me the bad parenting comes in when the PARENTS decide what the kids are going to dress as for halloween. They should make their own decisions!! That’s how you PREPARE them for LIFE on their own!
