A six-hour red-eye flight with a 15-month old on your lap isn’t the most ideal way to end a family vacation, but after two weeks in paradise, who am I to complain. What kept the ride semi-decent? My trusty Rockin’ Baby Sling.
It was the perfect way to secure my toddler on my lap, and when I dozed off I didn’t have to worry about her falling out of my arms. It also made nursing more discreet; I just covered myself with the tail end of the sling and that was that.
Of course, the carrier wasn’t just useful in the air. It’s so lightweight and compact that it didn’t add much bulk and weight to my daypack. I carried it every where we went and whipped it out every time my toddler got tired of walking or sitting in the stroller. And let’s not even start with all the compliments I received.
