Lisa, urine is mostly sterile when it first comes out of your body… but almost immediately after, it starts to grown tons of bacteria because it is the perfect environment for it.

I have a question… what are you eventually going to do with your pee stick? Your kid isnt gonna want it as a momento of their birth and its not like you can stick it in a baby book… so… what do you do with it? Just keep it in your underwear drawer?

I just took a picture… that way I could put it in my baby book.

I think it would be fantastic if EPT would create a test where you could eject the part you just peed on, but save the result! Would make for a much more sanitary keepsake.

I kept mine, all three actually. I was 42 and had waited soooo long. And isn’t urine actually pretty sterile?

I did keep mine – I felt better about it because I didn’t actually pee on it, just stuck it in a cup. Not that that’s better of course.

YES! I still have my 3!! I worked in a lab and saved them in a bio bag (which is the same as a ziplock). I’m a little germaphobic but I couldn’t not keep them. Sorry

I think this is a wonderful idea! I wonder if I email them that I saved BOTH of my EPT tests they will send me the case anyway?? LOL!

Yep. He’s 11 now and I still have it. It took me 16 years to get him. That’s the age difference between him and and his sister.

I also kept mine. We tried for 4.5 years and it was amazing to see that PREGNANT on the test. Only thing is that it was a digital so it doesn’t have the words any longer. I did take photos and have those saved. I don’t think it is gross and I also put mine in a ziploc baggy.

I kept mine in a ziplock bag and took pictures of them too. I don’t think it’s gross to keep them. It’s the first sign of the beginning of a whole new life!
