Most newborns spend the majority of their time in onesies. Even if your baby has a wardrobe bursting with fashionable garments, it’s still a good idea to stock up on onesies for those days when you just don’t have the energy for tiny buttons and bows. With so many onesie options, how’s a mom to choose which are best for her baby? Do you stock up on the inexpensive ones without guilt, throwing them away when they fall apart, or do you invest in a few really nice ones and do more laundry?
Most of my friends would be shocked to hear that I’m in the latter camp. It’s true, my daughter has some cheap onesies, but I reserve them for emergencies and opt for the ones that feel soft against her skin most of the time. And because she spends so much time in them, I figure they’re worth the investment, even if they’re under other clothing.
What do you think? Are expensive onesies worth contemplating or are people cuckoo for even considering them?
