When the weather gets warm, those winter moisturizers and creams are just a bit too much. We say let those products hibernate and lighten up with skin care made for spring and summer.

imagePineapple, mango, honeydew, gardenia…. that’s summer! Hawaiian Hair Care from Alba combines fruit extracts, organic aloe, sunflower, nut and jojoba oils with other natural ingredients for a totally tropical shampoo.  Your hair will feel great, look shiny and smell fabulous and at $8.95 each, it’s a lot cheaper than a trip to Hawaii.

Per-Fekt Beauty’s Eye Perfection Gel ($45) is the “perfekt” warmer weather eye treatment thanks to its cool palladium tip applicator and cucumber extract. The gel glides right on to moisturize and reduce puffiness – and it’s a multi-tasker. You can get it in Awake (clear) but also in shades of Bright, Refreshed or Vibrant so you won’t need additional concealer.

One of the only good things about cold weather is if you don’t feel like shaving your legs, there’s always pants or black tights and boots. But in the summer you just gotta shave. Avon Skin So Soft Fresh and Smooth Silky Stay Shave Gel is my favorite shave gel because it stays put even in the shower.  And get this, it goes on blue, so you can see where you missed (and I miss a lot).  Plus it leaves my legs super soft and it’s only $5.

In hot weather I like to really simplify my skin care routine. With Kenzo’s Cleansing Ice Jelly ($28), I can clean and tone my face and take off my eye make-up in one step. It’s light and refreshing with ginger water and ginseng, and you can apply it with your hands or a cotton ball. To make it extra cool I might just keep it in the fridge.

It might not be quite warm enough for the pool yet, but you can get in the mood with H20plus moisturizing Poolside Shower Gel ($9). This scent mixes melon, magnolia and jasmine with natural sea extract. No chemicals and chlorine here! That’s my kind of pool!
