You don’t need to ask me if my eight-month old is sleeping through the night yet. You usually can see it right in my eyes. (For the curious, the answer is no.) When an otherwise adorable photo shoot of me with my baby was marred by black under-eye circles and puffiness, I knew it was time to get serious about my eye cream.

($108) is serious therapy for stressed-out eyes. This cream firms and lifts around the eye area and diminishes dark circles and puffiness. Plus, over time, it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I started noticing a difference almost immediately—this is the eye cream I reach for on my groggiest mornings.
REN Active 7 Radiant Eye Maintenance Gel
($45) is a great everyday treatment that really works on the appearance of dark circles and under eye discoloration. Plus, the cooling gel feels fabulous going on—a great way to perk up your eyes on the mornings that you need an extra oomph to get going.
The Eve Lom Eye Serum
($60) is great for rehydrating that delicate skin around your eyes. Great for both morning and evening use, using a tiny bit of this serum will help tone and soothe the eye area. This gel gave the illusion of revived eyes, making me feel like I got a full eight hours of sleep. (Well, as long as I look that way.)
