My two-week old loves to be swaddled, and my husband and I love how it soothes and helps her sleep for three- to four-hour stretches at night. We started out using my son’s flannel receiving blankets, which still work fine, but there are so many other options we just had to try them out. Here are a few of our swaddling favorites that have worked wonders so far.

Kiddopotamus Bamboo SwaddleMe ($14.99): You might have already tried their cotton swaddles, but if you haven’t tried their bamboo swaddles, you must. Super soft and stretchy, my newborn can still stretch her limbs while feeling snug and secure. And I love how you don’t have to remove the entire piece for diaper changes. Simply unfasten the bottom portion and you’re good to go.

Aden & Anais Muslin Wrap ($29.95 for two): This muslin wrap keeps my baby warm without overheating her—thanks to the open weave that allows air to flow through. And it’s over-sized so I can use it long after my swaddling days are over—as a nursing cover, toddler blanket, picnic blanket and more.

Merino Kids Cocooi Babywrap ($39 – $44): Made from 100% natural merino wool, this ultra-lightweight wrap helps regulate baby’s body temperature by absorbing and releasing moisture to cool or warm baby’s body. And it’s easy to use. No need to fasten with straps or Velcro. You just tuck the material under baby and wrap. Bonus: I love the earthy, muted colors.
