You really don’t have to make any major resolutions to make changes for the new year. Here are some easy ways to start 2009 off right.
Get Green: I know I’m not the only one who keeps reusable grocery bags in my car and then forgets them when I go into the store. Now I have no excuse with these loopt bags from Flipandtumble. They roll up so small you can keep them in your handbag all the time. They’re strong and stylish and at $6 each, a cheap and easy way to start the year green.
Get Clean: Right before the holidays I picked up some Crest Premium Whitestrips ($30.99). There are no trays and you only need to apply them twice a day for one week. I used them on the way to work and late at night and my teeth definitely look whiter. I’ve also added Crest Intensive Cleaning Paste
to my routine so my teeth look and feel cleaner between dentist visits.
Get Lean: Every year I vow to exercise more and this year I’m really going to do it. I don’t have a Wii Fit yet, but there’s something to be said about DVDs. I just discovered Tracey Mallett. She mixes aerobics, kick boxing, dance moves and yoga in a low key and encouraging style, and there is always someone on screen doing the exercises with modifications. Best of all her Quick Blast programs are really quick, just six minutes long. You can do just one workout or combine them. Hey, even I can spare six minutes!
