Best Budget: Old Navy Maternity Coat($39.50): By far the best budget-conscience choice, this lightweight coat from Old Navy will take you from prenatal to postpartum. It’s soft jersey, and has an empire waist and skirted inverted-pleat hem, making it chic yet comfortable. And the hood is removable, so it’s extremely versatile.
Best Splurge: Isabella Oliver Maternity Coat ($419): If this is your first pregnancy and you may need a coat many seasons—or you will be outside a lot this winter—this wool cashmere blend from Isabella Oliver is a good investment. It’s warm and stylish, and the trapeze silhouette is flattering (and anything but boring).
