What: Eye Can Art Kits
Why: Whether you’re snowed in, rained in or just inside, we’ve found a fun activity for you and the kids: Eye Can Art Kits. Basically an original masterpiece waiting to happen, each kit comes complete with all the necessary materials (scissors, paper, ink, etc.) and step-by-step instructions to guide you and your child through the entire process.
My four-year old and I worked on the Print Making Kit, and he had a good time practicing some of the same skills he’s learning in preschool—like cutting, coloring, gluing and following instructions. The end product was a “funny clown face” that he’s very proud of, and we have it displayed on the fridge. Just make sure to carve out plenty of time and space for your artist, although you can relax because the inks are non-toxic and easy to clean up with water.
Oh, and they make for a cool birthday party activity—the guests can take home their masterpieces instead of a bag full of candy.
