Even though I spend a lot of time on my yoga mat, I still want to smell good.  Mats can start to accumulate odor, and it’s always good to give yourself a quick clean-down afterwards (we all know that a shower isn’t always in the cards).  Here are some ways to pamper yourself—and your yoga practice—with good karma and beautiful scents.

Manduka PROlite

First we need the mat, right?  The new Manduka PROlite ($68) is a top-quality mat that will give you quality and performance, without the heft.  Purchase this mat and Manduka will send you a bag that will allow you to recycle your old mat.  Good for your practice and good for the planet!

Stirlen Yoga Mat Wash, Spray and Wipes

Once you’ve worked up that sweat (or at the very least, a yogic glow), it’s best to care for your mat as soon as possible.  Stirlen Yoga Mat Wash, Spray and Wipes ($10.99 for Wash and Spray; $11.99 for Wipes) uses all-natural ingredients to keep your mat clean and sweet-smelling whether you’re practicing bikram or hatha.

Desert Essence’s Cleansing Towelettes ($16.99 for 24) are great for a post-yoga wipe down.  They’re lightly scented with essential oils and will leave you clean and fresh-smelling.

Indu Lotion

What’s a great way to keep that sweet yoga glow with you the rest of the day?  Indu Lotion ($18 for 8oz) uses oils chosen specifically for their aromatherapy properties.  Geranium, lavender and bergamot combine to create a deliciously-scented lotion that will keep your savasana going all day long.
