Summer Travel: What I Carried On My Summer Vacation

I just got back from my one and only plane trip this summer and, like many fellow travelers, I managed with just a carry-on and a very large handbag. For me, clothes are never the problem, it’s leaving my favorite products behind and that 3 oz. rule. Here are some of the things that I brought along.

I didn’t have to sort through hotel take-homes and samples to piece together a skin care system. I just brought along Juara’s Glow on the Go Kit ($42). The products contain tamarind, black tea and rice and are great for all skin types including sensitive skin. You get cleanser, toner, moisturizer, a facial mask and hand and body lotion all in a clear travel bag ready for inspection.

I can’t tell you how many times I went for a spritz of Kanreki Tonic ($35) on the plane and off. This lifesaver is sea water based and rich in antioxidants, amino acids, minerals and aloe. Now that I’m home I keep it with me in my handbag.

I knew I’d be walking a lot on my trip so instead of transferring 3 oz. of my favorite foot lotion to another container, I packed a 1 oz. foot balm from 29 and Co. ($8). It comes in an easy push-up stick formula and contains apricot kernel, grapeseed, peppermint and tea tree oil.

I packed up my jewelry and medications in Walker color mesh bags. They are durable and secure but you can see through them. You can get them in sizes for everything from lipstick, to my favorite, a thin tall bag for make-up brushes.
