Last week we wrote a post on creepy baby gifts ranging from Baby Toupees and Whoopi Cushion Costumes, to the Nosefrida, a manual nasal aspirator that a few of you have actually used and liked. And then there were the baby heels, which (so far) have received the most votes as the “creepiest” baby gift. But not all of us think they’re creepy. I was watching the Today Show and saw the segment that featured HEELARIOUS ($32). I thought the shoes were precious. I think they are meant to be fun and not taken so seriously. I heard that some women found them offensive. Why? I don’t know. They are not meant to be used for actual training purposes or be worn as walking shoes. They are just another girly accessory to add to your already-frilly collection of hair ribbons, lace socks and patent leather shoes. That’s why it is so fun to have baby girls….there are so many adorable outfits and accessories to dress them up as dolls.
I think the shoes are a refreshing twist to the usual boring baby shower gifts….(like that darn Diaper Genie). It could also be a fun play date theme… “Divas in Diapers.”
