What: Jig-A-Loo Invisible Lubricant and Water-Repellent
Why: For the cost of lunch at a fast food restaurant, you can pick up Jig-A-Loo, a colorless, odorless silicone-based lubricant that’s as easy to use as the air duster you shoot at your computer keyboard.
You can spray Jig-A-Loo on metal, glass, rubber, wood and other surfaces. I used it on squeaky hinges and ceiling fans, my window wipers and one particularly nasty stuck zipper. Since it has no oil, wax or petroleum, it doesn’t stain so my dress was safe. And because it’s a water-repellent, you can spray it on shoes, jackets, boots and bags to keep them safe from water damage.
There are plenty more uses for Jig-A-Loo. Fortunately, since I live in Florida, I won’t get to spray it on my shovel to keep snow from sticking or on my garden ornaments and furniture to protect them from ice. But I imagine it would be a very handy thing to have around in the winter.
