The Trend: MBTs and FitFlops
– Smart, Sporty Shoes for Sexy Legs
Ever since MomFinds first reviewed MBT sneakers last year, I’ve been obsessed with them and thinking of ways to convince my husband why I need a $250 shoe. When I finally did get them, they were worth every penny and then some.
If you haven’t yet tried them, you absolutely must. It’s like walking on sand (minus the sand), and after just a few minutes, you really start to feel the burn. Wear them while you run your errands, on your lunch break, any time you’re on your feet, and you’ll notice results. Not only will you have better-looking legs (really), but your posture will perk up, too.
The secret is the thick, curved sole that forces you to use every muscle in your body. A few folks have asked if they’re Heelies (uh, no!), and don’t be surprised by the occasional “What is she thinking” stare. Little do they know you’re toning and firming all those loose bits with every step you take. You’ll have the last laugh!
The Brits must be on to something because they’ve come up with yet another fitness shoe that claims to work like MBTs. Meet FitFlops
, the brand new shoe that sold out within just three days of its launch in May. Women are going crazy for them, and the streets of London are packed with FitFlopped women walking off inches from their thighs.
They’ve made their way stateside, and at only $45, they’ll be flying off the shelves. So if you’re not ready to commit to MBTs, take baby steps with FitFlops, and work your way up. Either way, you’ll be hooked and saving up for your next pair.
The best thing about these shoes? They get you excited about getting back in shape. That, to me, is priceless.
