We’ve seen some crazy blinged-out binkies recently. But the crystal-encrusted pacis are meeting with new competition from Swedish brand Elodie Details’ Golden and Silver Edition Pacifiers.
The fancy pacifiers meet high safety standards and provide proud, doting Grandparents (or other family members and friends) a treasured means of gift giving. Each pacifier costs $45 and will be available at elodiedetails.com.
The item looks neat, but my child was notorious for chucking pacifiers onto the ground. I can only imagine the heart attack that would ensue if she had done that with a silver or gold one. I can also only imagine the comments from strangers and can assume most people would want to touch it. You want to touch something that goes in my child’s mouth? I THINK NOT!
I suppose you could make it an at-home use only pacifier, in which case all of my above arguments go out the window. But the question remains, do babies really need something so expensive?
