Why: Artist Mom Kristin Loffer Theiss launched her business kltworks with husband Chris Theiss in 2005. Their line offers art of all kinds, all emulating the fun, colorful spirit of childhood.
In addition to offerings like watercolors and drawings in thread, kltworks produces felted wool stuffed animals like Ollie the Dotted Owl ($39) and some of the most colorful, whimsical mobiles ($180) I’ve ever seen. It is such fun to think of baby waking up to these joyful, friendly characters dancing over her head.
Also offered are finger puppets that will make you laugh out loud and the perfect baby gift: a onesie with your favorite creature coupled with a stuffed rendition of your featured animal ($56). Everything is handmade in Seattle, WA.
